CFD Gala, April 15, 2018

Please join us for CFD's 49th Annual Gala on Sunday, April 15, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Arte Café, 106 West 73rd St. Our Gala is a highlight of the New York political calendar, where we break bread and chat with activists and leaders who make us proud to be Democrats working together for progressive values. Especially this year, consider it a much-deserved break from the marching and lobbying that’s required of us all in these unsettling times. Let’s gather to toast the victories we achieved in 2016, and to prepare for the state-wide campaigns later this year.

Each year, we honor those who make our city and community a better place. Our Outstanding Leadership Award will be presented to Corey Johnson, the new speaker of the NY City Council; Angela Fernandez Executive Director of Northern Manhattan Coaltion for Immigrant Rights will receive the Michalski-Leutner Community Leadership Award for that groupWSFSSH, West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing will be honored with the Distinguished Community Service Award

CFD leaders like Congressmember Jerry Nadler, State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer and Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal have contributed to the Upper West Side's nationwide reputation for creative, outspoken Democratic leadership. CFD hopes to open the future to new, similarly-principled leaders.

Your contribution and presence will help advance our shared political and social agenda, including building our party to win back Congress in 2018. Sponsorship categories, which include a listing on the invitation, are: Angel ($1,500), Benefactor ($550), and Patron ($350). The regular ticket price is $250 (no listing). Invitations to this popular event will be circulated to approximately 2,000 West Siders and political and civic leaders, and sponsors will be featured on the CFD website and Facebook Page.

The deadline to be included on the invitation is Wednesday, March 25, 2018. We look forward to seeing you on April 15th.
